Annie Griffiths is an American photographer. She was one of the first woman photographers to work for National Geographic. She has photographed in nearly 150 countries. Annie’s first trip abroad was to Namibia. In addition to her magazine work, Annie is deeply committed to photographing for aid agencies around the world. She heads an organization called Ripple Effects Images. Oh, and she shoots with a Nikon.
Ripple Effect Images is a team of journalists dedicated to documenting the plight of women and girls around the world by highlighting the programs that are helping to empower them. Annie Griffiths is founder and Executive Director. The team donates their photographs, films and stories to the Ripple Effect Archive and make them available at no cost to partner aid organizations.
