Meetings & Programs
The Orléans Photo Club’s regular meetings are held every second Saturday of the month, from September to June (there are no meetings held in July or August). Guest speakers are invited to present specialized techniques on a wide variety of photographic subjects.
In order to create an opportunity for members to learn from each other, members are also encouraged to share their favourite photographs during the ‘Show & Tell’ segment of the meeting.
Regular Meetings are held the second Saturday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Queenswood Heights Community Centre, 1485 Duford Dr, Orléans, ON K1E 1G1 .
Digital Workshops and Presentations
On occasion, the club offers special digital workshops or presentations, outside the regular meeting schedule, on a variety of digital photography topics. These special digital workshops and presentations are advertised on the club website, with details provided about times and locations. The cost of the workshops are typically included in the membership fees; however, members are required to pre-register for these sessions in order to reserve a place and ensure a minimum number of people plan to attend.
Special photography outings encourage our members to stretch their photographic eye and produce unique images instead of simple snapshots. These outings are a great opportunity to apply skills learned and to experiment with new equipment and techniques.
