How to ensure a print has no area with no ink

A tip for those who print…

You want to make sure ink is laid down absolutely everywhere on the print. Otherwise, you can end up with a different sheen in areas where the highlights are blown out and no ink ends up there.

Scott Davenport shows how to use a simple adjustment using a tone curve to fix the problem. Very quick, easy to do, and doesn’t negatively affect any other tones in your image.

Some people advocate doing this on absolutely every image they print, just to guarantee there are no areas of the print with no ink.
